1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Screen Copilot (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Screen Copilot is a web-based service that provides AI-powered screen guidance. Users can share their screen and receive real-time assistance from an artificial intelligence assistant for learning software, troubleshooting issues, and completing tasks.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription and Billing

Screen Copilot offers subscription plans with varying usage limits. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable subscription fees
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Provide accurate billing information

Refunds are available on your first subscription within 7 days of initial purchase, subject to the eligibility conditions in our Refund Policy. No prorated refunds are issued after 7 days for monthly or annual plans.

Cloud Storage

Premium subscription plans include cloud storage for screen captures, subject to plan-specific storage limits. Cloud storage is available only while your premium subscription is active.

  • If your subscription is cancelled or expires, your stored screen captures will be retained for a 30-day grace period, during which you may resubscribe to regain access
  • After the 30-day grace period, all stored screen captures will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered
  • Storage usage exceeding your plan limits may result in the inability to save new screen captures until usage is reduced

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not share sensitive personal information through screen sharing
  • Not use the Service to violate any third-party rights
  • Not attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures

Screen Sharing Consent

By using the screen sharing feature, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right and authority to share all content visible on your screen, including any third-party content, proprietary software interfaces, or confidential information
  • Your screen sharing does not violate any confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, or non-disclosure obligations you may have
  • You have obtained any necessary consent from third parties whose personal data may be visible on your screen
  • You understand that screen content is transmitted to third-party AI services (Google Gemini) for processing

Screen Copilot is not responsible for any unauthorized disclosure of third-party content, personal data, or confidential information that you share through the screen sharing feature. You assume full responsibility for ensuring that your screen does not display content you are not authorized to share.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Share illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Engage in any form of hacking or unauthorized access
  • Distribute malware or viruses
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Screen Copilot and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create or share through the Service.

8. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described therein. Screen captures are processed in real-time and not stored on our servers by default.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze your screen and provide guidance. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated guidance may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or contain errors (“hallucinations”)
  • AI output is provided for informational and educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical advice
  • You are solely responsible for evaluating and verifying any AI-generated guidance before acting on it
  • Screen Copilot is not responsible for any decisions made or actions taken based on AI-generated guidance
  • The quality and accuracy of AI responses may vary and are dependent on third-party AI services beyond our control

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCREEN COPILOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SCREEN COPILOT'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO SCREEN COPILOT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Screen Copilot and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Content you share through the screen sharing feature, including any third-party content, personal data, or confidential information
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party, including intellectual property, privacy, or confidentiality rights
  • Any claim that content you shared through the Service caused damage to a third party

13. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved as follows:

Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@screencopilot.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, all disputes shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration conducted by a single arbitrator. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver

YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
